Get to know us

One of the questions we get asked most often is,

“You’re married, you live together and you work together –
how do you make that work?”

We like to think of it as living what we teach.
And we love that we get to make a difference and make a living at the same time!

As life, relationship and business coaches, we know what it takes to make those three aspects work together.
We understand that although they’re three different parts of your life, they’re actually inextricably interwoven –
what happens in one area is almost always going to have an effect on another.

We both have Masters’ degrees in Spiritual Psychology,
but we also have plenty of certificates from the University of Life and the College of Hard Knocks.

It’s through this combination of education, training and personal life experiences that
we’re able to live the life of our dreams, run multiple successful businesses and
have a wonderful, loving and supportive marriage that’s now in its third decade.
Not to mention three amazing kids!

It’s also how we’ve successfully coached thousands of people on how to live their best life,
be the best possible version of themselves, and unlock their full potential.

Through everything we’ve seen, learned and experienced,
we’ve discovered the golden thread linking happy,
successful people together is this: Perspective.

Depending on your perspective – the way you see things –
big things can seem small, and small things can seem huge.

Monika Zands

Hi, I’m Monika! I offer executive coaching, corporate team leadership training, organizational strategy, business and marketing programs, and life and relationship coaching. I’ve found that although people achieve excellence in some areas of their life, they often struggle to see their own worth. So, what happens? They make unhealthy choices in their lives and relationships, and this keeps them stuck and stops them from challenging themselves to think and act differently. I provide the consulting, strategizing, coaching and courses needed to help my clients shift their mindset, challenge small thinking, and exponentially increase their productivity and happiness. This helps them produce unprecedented results in their life, business and relationships.

We are disturbed not by things,

but by the views we take of them.”

— Epictetus (Greek philosopher)

Changing our perspective is all about reframing a situation so
that we look at it in a way that gives us the best possible outcome.

Getting to the point where we do this automatically usually requires a little brain re-wiring!

Most brains resist change!
It looks at you, sees that you’re alive and decently fed, and decides that’s more than
enough proof that whatever you’re currently doing is working. You’re alive, so why change?

Shifting your perspective opens up your thinking.
It encourages a growth mindset, gets you unstuck, and keeps you moving forward.

Jan Zands

Hi, I’m Jan! I’m a graduate of UCLA, and have a Masters in Screenwriting from UCLA School of Film, Theatre and Television – one of the top three film schools in the country. I’ve worked in feature and television production for companies on the Paramount Pictures and Universal Studios lots, but I also have a strong background in corporate America. I started my own software company, raised money from private investors and worked for years as a consultant and strategist for entertainment and technology companies.

I’ve also worked as a project manager, business manager, consultant and producer of content for reality television for the History Channel, Bravo and Animal Planet.

After years of working in entertainment and technology, both of which are high stress industries, I suffered two burst ulcers. I lost about half the blood in my body and almost died. After this near-death experience, my doctors told me I needed to create a new life where I was not under so much pressure and stress.

This was when I decided I needed to pursue a new way of being. I chose being happy over being successful, which is what led me to where I am now.

I got my Masters’ Degree in Spiritual Psychology and started focusing on my own health and fitness. Previously, I always thought I would be fulfilled by big accomplishments, such as winning an Oscar or selling my software company for millions of Dollars.

But what I learned was this: the most fulfilling thing I could do was help people shift their life like I had been able to shift mine. I knew I wanted to help people let go of the stress, the upset and the self-inflicted suffering that almost killed me.

Now I wake up every morning with a clean purpose. That is what brings me joy and fuels me.

We want to show you how you can live your life believing something
good can always come from something that, at the time, feels or seems bad.

To discover alternative responses that create completely different results.
It’s a very empowering way to run a business and live a life you love.
